About

I believe schools get better when teaching gets better. The heart of my work is helping teachers grow in ways that create real change for students. I have spent my career teaching, coaching, leading teams, designing systems, and building the kind of instructional culture where teachers feel supported and students feel seen.

I currently serve as an Academic Facilitator and MTSS Coordinator in Charlotte. My work reaches across every part of school life. I guide teachers in strengthening Tier 1 instruction. I coach them in the moment and side by side. I help them build small group routines, use data well, and plan with intention. I lead PLCs, design professional learning, shape schoolwide systems, and support both new teachers and veteran teachers as they refine their practice. I am trusted with scheduling, curriculum alignment, walkthroughs, classroom culture, intervention systems, and schoolwide instructional initiatives. I also serve as an 8th grade administrator, which gives me a deep view of how instruction and student support work together.

Before coaching teachers, I taught elementary and middle school math. Those years in the classroom shaped everything I believe about teaching and learning. I earned strong student results, led teams, supported colleagues, and fell in love with curriculum design and instructional leadership. I still see myself as a math teacher at heart. That background helps me coach teachers with clarity and respect because I understand what teaching feels like day to day and moment to moment.

I was also selected as a writer for the 2025 South Carolina College and Career Ready Mathematics Standards. That experience strengthened my understanding of how math concepts build across grades and what teachers need to help students master them. It shaped my belief that alignment matters and that students thrive when instruction is connected and intentional.

My work sits at the intersection of teaching, leadership, and support. I help teachers move from good intentions to effective practice. I make instruction clearer, more manageable, and more responsive. I believe in high expectations, strong relationships, and the power of a well planned lesson. I believe that great teaching is both art and science. I love helping teachers find their footing in both.

This site is where I share ideas, tools, strategies, and reflections that help educators strengthen their practice. My goal is simple. Support teachers. Strengthen instruction. Lead learning.

If you want classrooms where students think hard, engage deeply, and grow consistently, you are in the right place.
